Caroline Worrall, CFA
Chief Financial Officer
Caroline has been working with MEDVAL since 2006. Prior to joining MEDVAL, she spent several years consulting for small and midsized businesses in the areas of financial planning and strategy. From 2001 to 2004, Caroline was the Chief Financial Officer for Reactive NanoTechnologies, a high-tech startup. During her tenure there, she raised $10.5 million in venture capital and $400,000 in venture debt. In 2004, she was named finalist for the Maryland Entrepreneur of the Year by the Technology Council of Maryland.
Prior to her entrepreneurial endeavors, Caroline spent two years as an Equity Analyst for Mercantile Safe Deposit & Trust, where she performed detailed investment analysis for a variety of industries, and in November 2000, she acquired the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Prior to business school, she spent five years as a technical analyst in the energy and telecommunications industries.
Caroline holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University. She received her Masters of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, where she earned the William Michael Shermet Award for Academic Excellence.
