Duration of MSAs Just Increased by 0.4 Years

It is supposed to be good news when the CDC tells us that people, as a general proposition, are living longer. However the news isn’t well received when it comes to MSAs. 

 The CDC just released the 2007 Life Table. I spot checked many of our favorite ages and 0.4 seems to be the average change. The good news is that the change is small enough that the rounding should result in the same age in many instances so not ALL MSAs will require immediate updates.

PLEASE NOTE:  CMS has just announced that it will start using the new life table on any WCMSA submitted or reopened after 10/31/11
