Yesterday evening, the Senate passed HR 1845, a bill primary heralded as “the Boy in the Bubble” bill, but included portions of HR 1063, aka the Strengthening Medicare and Repaying Taxpayers Act. The bill passed with unanimous consent suggesting that the President’s signature is all but a formality.

The headliner of the bill provides for a demonstration project for providing infusions of intravenous immunoglobulin to home bound patients with immunodeficiency diseases. Really, who wouldn’t vote for that? Which goes to show if we’re going to get any more MSP legislation passed, attaching it to sympathetic causes will be the best way to get it done.
