New Remote Identity Proofing Changes are Now Active Within the Medicare Secondary Payer Recovery Portal (MSPRP)
As we blogged last week, the Medicare Secondary Payer Recovery portal (MSPRP) has undergone some recent enhancements, and an informative webinar was recently held to provide an overview of these enhancements. The most recent enhancements are a new self-reporting feature and a new multi-factor authentication process. Most significant for those who use the MSPRP, is this new multi-factor authentication (MFA). The current MFA process via EIDM/Symantec has been replaced with an MFA solution provided by OKTA. Current MFA users will no longer be able to use their existing verification tokens. Instead, through OKTA, MSPRP users will be offered the choice of voice call or SMS (text message) authentication methods. Additional information regarding the remote identity proofing changes to the MSPRP may be found here.
