Updated WCMSA Reference Guide Issued with Newly Added Appendix 7: Major Medical Centers by State, National Provider Identifier and Zip Code
On October 5, 2020, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released a revised Workers’ Compensation Medicare Set-Aside Arrangement (WCMSA) Reference Guide. The updated Guide is version 3.2. As with other versions, a summary of updates to the Guide is found in Section 1.1, and consists of the following changes:
- The major medical centers that the Workers’ Compensation Review Center (WCRC) will use in estimating future treatment costs have been provided, organized by state, name, National Provider Identifier and ZIP code in Appendix 7.
There is otherwise no change as to verification of jurisdiction and calculation method.
