MEDVAL respects your concerns about privacy. This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for MEDVAL, www.medval.com, and www.medicaresetasideblog.com. We also describe the measures we take to protect the security of information and how you can contact us about our privacy practices. This privacy notice applies to information collected by our websites as well as data, including personally identifiable information, collected in the performance of our services.
Website Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
MEDVAL is the sole owner of the information collected on our websites. We do not collect information from the sites other than that which you voluntarily provide us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell this information to anyone.
We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third-party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to complete an MSA.
Information We Obtain
We may log information such as your operating system type, browser type, domain, and other system settings, as well as the language your system uses and the country and time zone where your device is located. The web server logs may also record information such as the address of the web page that referred you to our sites and the IP address of the device you use to connect to the Internet. We also use third-party web analytic services on our sites to help us analyze how users utilize our sites, how we may be able to best provide services, and to diagnose technical and other service related issues.
MEDVAL does not track its customers over time and across third-party websites to provide target advertising and, therefore, does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals. Some third-party sites, however, do keep track of your browsing activities when they serve you content, which enables them to tailor what they present to you. If you are visiting such sites, your browser allows you to set the DNT signal on your browser so that third-parties (particularly advertisers) know that you do not want to be tracked.
Client Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
Any information provided by our clients is the sole property of that client and shall be treated as confidential by MEDVAL. We do not sell or otherwise disclose personal information we collect on our sites, except as described here. We may share personal information we collect on the sites with affiliates and service providers that perform services on our behalf. Information will not otherwise be released, disclosed, or published except as permitted under the agreement between MEDVAL and the client or as required by applicable law, legal process, or in connection with any investigation of illegal activity. We reserve the right to transfer information in the event of reorganization, dissolution or liquidation. Understanding the confidential nature of our clients’ data, MEDVAL shall not use any of our clients’ data for any purpose other than to perform the services requested and to fulfill its obligations as a service provider.
Access to and Control over Information
We offer you certain choices about how we communicate with you and what information we obtain from you. You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You may also contact us at any time via the email address or phone number given on our website to determine:
- The data we have about you, if any;
- Change/correct any data we have about you, including any inaccuracies;
- Have any personally collected data blocked or deleted, as appropriate; or

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information, including personally identifiable information, via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
At all times, MEDVAL endeavors to preserve the security of clients’ data. MEDVAL makes commercially reasonable efforts to protect the data from malicious network attacks. In the event of a security breach compromising the confidentiality, integrity or availability of a client’s information, MEDVAL shall notify the client of such breach within 10 business days of discovery.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as referral information), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us over an SSL certificate with 256-bit encryption to keep data secure. MEDVAL uses a number of computer security systems to protect information. Our FTP server supports TLS/SSL, online referrals go through our website’s SSL for encryption, and e-mails come across using TLS on our Exchange Server. All records are held in a secure computing environment.
In addition to technical measures, we also train our staff on computer security and have a set of security protocols in place. The security protocols are reviewed and reinforced as part of our ongoing training program. All offices are alarmed and monitored, individual computer workstations are secured and hard copy records are stored in a locked bin prior to shredding. Any computers/servers in which MEDVAL stores personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
